Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Clarity (operated by Nick Langat at useclarity.cc), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Clarity is a project management platform that provides task management, document editing, team standups, real-time chat, calendar, sprint planning, and AI-powered features. The service is available as a web application at useclarity.cc.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Clarity. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Workspaces and Data

You retain ownership of all content you create in Clarity (tasks, documents, messages, files). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

You are responsible for the content posted by members of your workspace. Content that violates applicable laws or these terms may be removed.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

Clarity offers Free, Standard, and Premium plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Prices are displayed in USD.

All paid plans include a 14-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required to start a trial.

Payments are processed by Paddle (credit card, debit card, and PayPal). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges.

When you downgrade, your data is preserved. Over-limit projects are archived (not deleted) and become accessible again upon upgrade.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the service
• Abuse the AI features by submitting harmful, illegal, or exploitative content
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use automated means to scrape or extract data from the service

8. AI Features

Clarity uses OpenAI to provide AI-powered features including subtask generation, description writing, standup fill, and text editing. Content sent to AI is processed by OpenAI and is not used for model training.

AI-generated content is provided as suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before use.

9. File Storage

File upload limits vary by plan (Free: 10 MB per file, Standard: 25 MB, Premium: 100 MB). Total storage limits are enforced per workspace. Files are stored securely and accessible via time-limited presigned URLs.

10. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with or without notice. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

11. Termination

You may delete your workspace or account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Upon workspace deletion, all associated data is permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clarity and its operator Nick Langat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
